Buy safe

I recently discovered a safety hazard about Christmas trees and felt compelled to remind everyone: if your Christmas tree is made of PET, PVC or PE materials, you may need to be more careful – they may burn more easily than you think.

I checked some information and consulted relevant instructions to confirm that these plastic materials themselves are highly flammable. This means that the risk can suddenly rise once a heat source or open flame is encountered. So I would like to seriously remind you here:

✅ Please check the material label of your Christmas tree to see if it contains PET, PVC or PE;

✅ If the material cannot be confirmed, pay attention to whether the tree has a "flame retardant" logo;

✅ If you suspect it is made of flammable materials, the safest thing to do is to replace it.

I often compare this type of Christmas tree to a "car with broken brakes" – which may be fine, but at some unexpected moment, it can pose an uncontrollable danger.

To make it easier for you to understand, I've also compiled a brief explanation of a few key terms:

PET/PVC/PE: a common plastic material, easy to burn when fired, and burns quickly;

Flame retardant materials: can effectively resist or delay the spread of flames, and the safety factor is higher;

Flammable materials: easy to ignite and burn quickly, should be avoided in heated, open flame environments.

I am writing this because I think holiday safety is often hidden in those details that are easy to overlook. A beautiful Christmas tree should bring warmth and joy, not hidden dangers.

If you're not sure if your tree is safe, take a few minutes to check it out, or consider switching to a style that is clearly labeled "flame retardant" – a little caution may be the best way to protect the holiday.

I wish you a safe and warm holiday season 🎄
